《Call for Submissions》Conflict, Justice, Decolonization: Critical Studies on Inter-Asian Society Project
We are pleased to invite you to submit your papers to Conflict, Justice, Decolonization: Critical Studies on Inter-Asian Society Project.
TOPIC OF INTEREST
THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC AND ITS RAMIFICATIONS
The world is currently under the grip of one of the most contagious diseases in recent history. The novel coronavirus, or Covid-19 as it is known, reportedly broke out in December 2019 in the city of Wuhan in Hubei Province of China. As of May 2020, over four million people have contracted the virus. At the beginning of March 2020, the World Health Organization (WHO) declared Covid-19 a global pandemic. Governments have suggested as well as enforced several measures to contain the virus. These measures include complete lockdowns, shelters-in-place, and social distancing. Although these preventive actions have proven effective and necessary, problems have also emerged as a result of their implementation. Staying exclusively at home over an extended period of time has caused financial difficulty, domestic violence, and deterioration of mental health, amongst other issues.
We therefore call on students to engage with these issues and concerns related to Covid-19. Of particular interest are those topics that fall within the broader ambit of Conflict, Justice and Decolonization. We accept scholarly articles, conference reviews, documented interviews, and reviews of relevant movies or books. Please note that students are also welcomed to submit topics not related to Covid-19 but respond to our main concern: Conflict, Justice and Decolonization.
Articles should be 2,000-3,000 words if written in English and 3,000-4,500 characters if written in Mandarin Chinese.
